This Course is an overview of Traditional African Herbalism. It is only introductory and not intended to teach African Herbal practices, much of this knowledge, has been lost or is relatively inaccessible. Suffice it to say, many modern day traditional healers have been adopting western style alternative medicines, including dietetics, fasting, acupuncture, massage, etc. However, the traditional concepts retaining the spiritual causes of illness are evident and quite important to understand as those similar views were retained by monastic medicine and Christian missionaries, the same as in the Caribbean and the Americas.

The role of Spirituality in the work of the traditional healer and the whole creed surrounding healing is explicitly stated in the Ghanan Akan proverb, ―se Nyame ma wo yaree, osan ma wo hahama a esa yaree no,‖ which translates to mean ― "When God gives you a disease, He also gives a local plant to heal it."

When does the course start and finish?
The course starts now and access ends in 24 months from initial enrollment. During these 24 months access period It the course is self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish. However as per the written enrollment agreement issued when you initially registered any lapse over 90 days, consequitive, will incur a suspension, requiring a re-enrollment penalty for $200.00 first time. Second lapse same penalty with $500.00 re-enrollment fee. Consult your NAIC Enrollment agreement for details.
How long do I have access to the course?
We have estimated the average student takes between 7 and 12 months to complete this course including the required pre-requisite. From the date of enrollment you will have 24 months to complete this course. Extension for time over the initial 24 months will be billed at $150.00 per month until graduation and or student voluntarily with draws from program with written notice to NAIC, Inc.
